What is Installments by Afterpay?

Installments by Afterpay is an external service that allows you to pay for your purchase in convenient, interest-free installments spaced out over time.


How does it work?

Afterpay splits your order total into four interest-free payments. The first installment is due at checkout and the remaining payments are due every two weeks following your purchase.

When you’re ready to checkout and you’ve hit the $35 order minimum, select Installments by Afterpay as your payment method. You will then be automatically prompted to their site to confirm your purchase. First time customers will need to create an account with Afterpay and provide payment details. Returning customers will just need to log in to confirm their purchase. Once you have verified your information and confirmed it is correct, you will be automatically returned to the PUMA website to place your order.

If paying with a PUMA Gift Card and your card balance does not cover the entire purchase amount, you may use Afterpay to pay for any remaining balance.


Where can I use Afterpay?

Installments by Afterpay can only be applied to online purchases made on us.puma.com.


How do the payments work?

Your first installment is due at checkout and the remaining three payments will be due every two weeks following your purchase date. Payments will be automatically deducted from your chosen payment method linked to your Afterpay account. Afterpay will notify you when your payment is due so you can ensure you have the proper funds available.

If you choose to make additional payments before your scheduled due dates, you may do so through your Afterpay account. You can log in to your Afterpay account to view your payment schedule and make any additional payments.


What forms of payment are accepted by Afterpay?

You can add any Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card to your Afterpay account.


What happens if I miss a payment or can’t make my payment?

Afterpay will automatically deduct your scheduled installment payment on the noted due date. If you do not have the proper funds available or you miss your payment when it’s due, late fees may apply. Complete terms can be found here.


When will my items be delivered if I use Afterpay?

Orders placed using Afterpay are shipped and delivered within our normal timeframes depending on your chosen shipping method. Visit our Shipping & Delivery page for more information.


Is there an order minimum or limit?

Yes, the order minimum is $35.


Can I use Afterpay on orders outside of the US?

Afterpay is only offered to our customers who have a US billing address, US shipping address, a US Visa or Mastercard (credit or debit card), and a US mobile phone number. Customers with international billing addresses, shipping addresses, and/or phone numbers will not be able to set up an account with Afterpay.


Are any products not eligible for Afterpay?

You may not use Afterpay to purchase a digital gift card. If you would like to use Afterpay on other items in your cart, you will need to place two separate orders.


How do I return or exchange an item purchased with Afterpay?

We are happy to offer free online returns for orders placed on puma.com within 45 days of purchase. You may return your PUMA products* in their original, unused condition for a full refund.

Please note that orders placed using Afterpay are unable to be returned in store and must be completed online.

Once you have initiated your return, Afterpay will be notified and will process the appropriate refunds either by deducting from your remaining Afterpay balance or refunding onto your linked payment method. Please see below for additional information:

  • Full Refund/Cancel with no installments paid – If you cancel or refund your entire order and no installments have been paid, all future installments through Afterpay will be cancelled and no payment will be processed.
  • Full Refund/Cancel with 1 or more installments paid – If you cancel or refund your entire order, but have already paid one or more installment through Afterpay, the amount already paid will be refunded to your original payment method and any future installments will be cancelled. Refunds are processed as installments by original payment date, therefore you may see multiple refunded amounts rather than one lump sum.
  • Partial Refund / Cancel with no installments paid – If you are only requesting a return/refund on some items in your order, your refund will be applied to your installments from last to first. You will still be required to pay the remaining amount following the original payment schedule.
  • Partial Refund / Cancel with 1 or more installments paid – If you wish to return some of the items in your order and you have already made payments, your refund will be applied to your installments from last to first. If the refund is less than the balance due, you will be required to pay the remaining balance following the original payment schedule. If the refund amount is greater than what you still owe, the remaining balance will be refunded to your payment method and future installments will be cancelled.
